Cute kid alert!! Today was the Halloween party at preschool. I've never seen so many 3-year-old princesses.

I'm hoping you can help me solve a mystery here... Who is that gorgeous little Cinderella? I mean seriously, she must have a stunning mother.

Here she is with Dorothy...her best friend and my favorite 3-year-old niece. Please notice the basket Dorothy is holding. Toto has been tucked in and is sleeping soundly in there.

This beautiful (and I should add brilliant) Cinderella was also very gracious. Her mom must also be a very well mannered saint of a woman. She permitted me to take several pictures of her.

An artist too!! Here, this little Bernini fashioned a spider out of nothing but a donut, pretzel sticks, and two chocolate chips.

I have to say, she did finally get frustrated with all of my picture taking and made it clear with this last photo.

Well, I think that photo may actually solve the mystery. The obvious irritation and frustration on her face gives it all away.

Ahhh...The Splendor of Autumn

Isn't this the best time of year!! The crisp air and dropping leaves are amazing, but my favorite thing has to be the never ending political commercials.

Seriously, I wish the television networks could put more of these 30 second bursts of gospel truths back-to-back-to-back. They bring me so much hope for our future.

I mean saying things like, "I will work for you. And, I will end crime," make me feel warm and fuzzy. There is no need to explain HOW they plan to accomplish that. And obviously, if a politician says they will end crime, there will no longer be a need to even lock your doors at night. In fact, you can just forget about a bank...just leave your cash in piles on your front porch. How convenient!!! Politicians really have a way of getting things done for us and do so with GREAT efficiency!

You know what would be really great! I think someone should spend a fortune for a half-an-hour infomercial! I think 30 minutes during prime time would cost something like $1,000,000 per network, and I can't imagine a better place to invest the money.

And a special thank you to Obama and McCain for insightful and honest advertising. Americans are surely in good hands with either of you!

Snow White Eats Breakfast...she actually loves a smoothie

Imagine my surprise this morning when instead of my beautiful little girl, Snow White awoke from Abbie's bed.

I gotta tell you.... Snow White, she's cranky when she's famished. Don't believe all the fairytale hype. She's tough.

She's insisted being addressed by her full name, "Princess Snow White." She carefully explained to her dimwitted subject, "See this? This is called a crown. I'm a princess, and this princess is hungry."

Eager to please the royal princess, I whipped up a fresh strawberry smoothie. I'm thankful she enjoyed it.

I'm also thankful that Princess Snow White did leave and returned my daughter to me shortly after bath time this morning.
